History of Superman comic

Superman was, and still is today, one of the most popular superheroes that were ever created to appear in comics all over the world.  Superman first made his comic book debut in 1938 in the comic book named Action Comics #1.  He gained so much popularity so quickly that the following year he was starring in his own self-titles comic series.

The first issue of the Superman comic was basically a refresher of that from 1938’s Action Comics #1, to get people back up to speed and then went into its own storyline from there.  Even though the first issue of the Superman comics was basically a remake of the Action Comics #1, the Superman comic brought in many more sales, due to the large number of fans that Superman had created within the years time.

The Superman comic continued to gain popularity and with that came the success that followed.  In addition to Superman’s own self-titles series, he also made a number of appearances in other comics throughout the year as well.  This was good for Superman, as well as the comic books we would guest appear in as it brought in more fans of Superman, while some Superman fans also started taking some interest in other superhero comics as well, therefore, they were getting the best of both worlds in this trade off.

Nobody can forget Superman’s girlfriend, Lois Lane, as they would set off after he defeated the bad guys.  This would not only make for a great superhero comic, but showed a great romance as well.  With this all in one comic series, great value is put on these Superman comics with collectors today.  There are many copies of the Superman comic available today but most are of later remake copies.  In order to actually have one of the original copies can be a great challenge, though come with great desire as well.
