Batman is one of the comic book superheroes that helped bring comic books to the popularity that they are at today. Batman first appearing in the comic book named Detective Comics #27, which was in 1939, while later gained enough popularity through people all over the world to bring about the self-titles series known as the Batman Comic Book. Batman was part of the D.C. Comics family and helped bring it to the forefront as we know it today, as did other superheroes such as Superman and Wonder Woman.
The thing that sets Batman apart from other superhero characters is the fact that he doesn’t have any super-human powers whatsoever. He simply uses his
intelligence, money, and detective skills in order to defeat his enemies, or opponents.
Some of the most famous writers of the infamous comic book, Batman, were that of Dennis O’Neil, Len Wein, and Steve Englehart. They took pride in writing comics to shadow the fact that it was Batman’s job to protect Gotham City, and did a very good job doing so.
Talk to any kid about the character Batman and nine times out of ten, they will know and be able to pick out the superhero character. That is simply due to the fact of his popularity throughout the years as many really value his morals. The increased popularity has pushed for great desire to be able to own a set of the classic Batman comic books and to actually do so would be a great honor.
